FAQs about hotels in Montreal

A Blend of the Urban and the Outdoors

Montreal is the second largest city in Canada and the entry point to Quebec province via Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport. Montreal truly has it all. Divided into East and West by Boulevard Saint-Laurent, there are several districts to the city, each offering a distinct atmosphere.

Downtown is best explored on foot, as you weave your way through skyscrapers and visit museums such as the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. In the winter you can steer clear of icy paths by heading underground to the passages of the Underground City, full of shops, movie theaters and food courts.

From there, the metro will conveniently take you outwards in any direction you might want to go, from the historic Old Montreal to the hip café and restaurant culture of the Quartier Latin-Le Village.

In summer, stay closer to the historic quarter and head outdoors in Parc Jean-Drapeau on the St. Lawrence River islands of Île Sainte-Helen and Île Notre-Dame. If the weather isn’t good enough for rowing, water-skiing and beaches then head to Montreal Casino.

Whether you’re visiting for festivals or fashion, gastronomy or culture, with over 190 hotels and B&Bs with Booking.com you’ll find your perfect home away from home.

I enjoyed how easy it was to get to the Hotel, plus the friendliness of the staff were really wonderful. I ate at three Amigos, McDonald's, I also ate at the Poulet Rouge which was exceeding my expectations. I was also able to explore Montreal on my own as well as lots of walking around Old Montreal

Montreal is a safe, beautiful, welcoming city with excellent cafes, restaurants and bars. The walking is easy (except for Mount Royal, which is still worth the sweat), and if you like biking, rentals are available snd bike lanes are present.

Great food options and the abundance of live music on weeknights. Metro was clean, prompt and very accessible. Montreal is a very walkable city in most ways. If weather permits, I would suggest using bixi bikes to get around. Lots of bike paths in and around the city.

Lots to see and do in Montreal.

Lots to see and do in Montreal. I found it easy to get around using the Metro and buses, although the road closures meant for some strange diversions on the bus. I took a walking tour of old Montreal which was very good. I would like to return with more time!

Like going to Europe without the expense and currency exchange. Some great restaurants and rooftop experiences. Portion size of food was great. Everyone speaks English and so don't worry if you don't know French. Don't forget the key things: Poutine, Smoked Meat, Bagels!

So much to do: theater, music, great food, intriguing neighborhoods, museums, galleries, kind people, safe, the Metro. The Museum of Fine Arts, Snowdon Deli, Schwartz's deli, numerous coffee shops, Modavie for a special evening of food and jazz, La Central, various neighborhoods, Segal Theater. Wish we could have stayed for upcoming performances at Place des Arts.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel. It's centrally located to downtown and Old Montreal. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was huge, well appointed and beautifully decorated. I wish we had more time to stay to take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen, but we did enjoy espresso from the provided Nespresso machine.
